Eddy Current Testing Level I and II
Duration: 5-10 Days
Purpose:
Eddy Current testing uses electromagnetic induction to detect flaws in conductive materials.
From this course, candidates will gain an enhanced understanding of Eddy Current Testing that will enable them to implement this NDE method competently.
This course is available on both ASNT and PCN schemes.
Content:
The course combines practical workshops with classroom theory and will be assessed under examination conditions.
Successful candidates will develop an understanding of electromagnetic theory, test instrumentation and coil design.
The syllabus also covers basic impedance plane principles, conductivity, dimensional factors, permeability, signal-to-noise ratio, frequency and flaw detection applications (Applicable to welds only).
